My name is Kevin Neal and I am the owner of Dimensions property maintenance services, currently working on student accommodation and light commercial I am also co owner of a commercial establishment. Over recent years, my own commercial premises have unfortunately been targeted multiple times by vandals and trespassers accessing roof areas via drainpipes and surrounding property structures.
Following repeated incidents and the associated repair costs, I have added a new service by having implemented anti-vandal paint on vulnerable access points around my premises, including drainpipes, roof access areas, and perimeter edges with signage, since installing this deterrent, the reduction in attempted access had now stopped
Due to the effectiveness of this solution, I am now offering this service focused on helping commercial property owners and insurers reduce claims related to vandalism, trespassing, roof damage, and forced access incidents.
The benefits of this preventative service include:
- Reduced incidents of unauthorised roof access
- Lower costs associated with replacing damaged roof tiles, guttering, and external fixtures
- Prevention of water ingress and structural damage caused by vandalism
- Reduced business interruption and temporary closures during repair works
- Lower insurance claim frequency and maintenance costs
- Improved property security and deterrence without invasive installations
From personal experience, roof tile replacement and emergency repair works can become extremely costly, particularly when businesses are forced to pause trading or close temporarily while repairs are carried out. In many cases, the indirect costs from downtime, lost revenue, and operational disruption can exceed the repair costs themselves.
Unfortunately when reporting incidents of costly vandalism to the police, it gets logged and that’s it, if my services appeals please don’t hesitate to get in touch
A site survey will be carried out to identify suitable surfaces and confirm access requirements. The work area will then be prepared, and warning signage installed at all relevant access points to inform the public that anti-climb paint has been applied.
Anti-climb paint will be applied to agreed surfaces, typically walls, fences, gates, downpipes, and other potential climbing points, at the recommended height to deter unauthorised access. The coating remains non-drying and transfers easily to clothing and skin, making it an effective security deterrent.
Upon completion, all areas will be checked to ensure correct coverage and signage is securely in place. The client will be advised on the paint’s purpose, expected lifespan, and any future maintenance requirements.
